In a parallel toon universe, a portable electronic typewriter might look a lot like this:


Back in this universe, “TypeTronic” was a model name used by Smith-Corona (even before the 1980 release of its ill-fated ultrasonic office typewriter) and is one of several names given to the fourth toy electronic typewriter model to be manufactured by Mehano.1


Models include:
- Model E-110 sold as the Electronic 8000, Tronic 3000, Blanca, Barbie (1988 —1998)2
- Model E-115/116 sold as the Futura Tronic, Barbie (1999 — 2003)3
- Model E-117 sold as the type, Type Tronic, Barbie (2004 — 2015)4
- Model E-118 sold as the Type ‘n’ Print, Barbie (2015 —)5

All models except the original E-110 have encryption functionality (see the Crypto Museum website for more information).
