Olivetti released a second generation of office electronic typewriters in November 1988. Model numbers include but may not be limited to ET 2200, 2250, 2300, 2400, 2450/MD, 2500/S).
Models ET 2200, ET 2250 and ET 2300/SP have a top speed of 20 cps. Models ET 2400, ET 2450/MD and ET 2500/SP offered printing at 30 cps and a choice of wide or ultra-wide writing and platen widths.
