In The Power of The Holy Spirit
The various ministries of City Harvest Church paraded at the opening of the second night’s session. From the energetic frontliner ushers and award-winning marketplace ministers to the loving volunteers attending to individuals with special needs, young and old. CHC portrays itself as a church in action, serving believers and people beyond the church’s four walls – which it really is.
After presenting a video clip on the humanitarian works to the poor and needy by City Harvest Community Services Association (CHCSA) and Sun Ho in various parts of Singapore and Asia, Rev. Dr. Ulf Ekman steps in to make known the driving force behind a believer who creates a wave of influence like Sun and the volunteers at CHCSA – the Holy Spirit.
Pst Ulf Ekman highlighted the dependency of Jesus on this great Helper who launched and sustained His powerful earthly ministry. Its impact is not for a moment. What happened 2,000 years ago continues to be felt in the here and now and by the generations to come.
He summons the church of the living God to develop a greater sensitivity to the Holy Spirit and move in His power. The mission of reconciling the world for Christ will come into fulfillment only through the help of the Holy Spirit. Pst Ulf exhorts the people to allow the Holy Ghost to use them as He pleases. Let Him fill a believer to overflowing so that God’s life can be poured out to be a blessing to many.

AC Grand Finale: Shout Jesus’ Fame!
Three glorious nights of Asia Conference were led to a splendid finale on Sunday evening. A star-studded item was delivered by Christian celebrities from Taiwan led by Kung Fu Dunk hotshot Liu Geng Hong while JJ Lin serenades the crowd not only with his charm and voice but also by his life testimony that goes beyond his singing career.
The best is indeed saved for last. Not only did the concluding session showcased talent, it shouted out loud the difference God makes in a person whose life is totally surrendered to Him.
Dr. A.R. Bernard, a world-renowned thought leader and expositor of the Scriptures, leaves a mark on people’s soul with the words, “Change a person, change a place”. Time and time again, Dr. Bernard elaborates on the dimensions of “Kristos Kai Kosmos” – Christ in Culture. The central theme of his teachings revolves around redemption and restoration of the world and its culture, as it has always been in God’s heart for humankind. That is the very reason why God places Christians in a society overruled by self-centeredness and worldliness – to redeem the good in it and restore it back to God’s original plan and order.
Sun Ho is a living example of the Word in action. She was touched by God and her life now touches the nations. She may be in an ungodly culture, but she is committed to co-partner with God in his plan of redemption. Dr. A.R. Bernard posted that challenge to every individual at the Asia Conference – and many responded to that call and started living it out.
And as the customs has been, “That’s What Friends Are For” was sung at the end. What an awesome sight to see brethren dwell together in unity! The Church of God is rising up stronger than ever before – insulated from ungodliness and ever ready to penetrate culture with God’s presence, power and anointing! One life at a time – change a person, change a place!
