Q: Why do I need to attend church every weekend?
A: The Fifth Commandment (Ex 20:8) states that we should have a rest day every week and keep it holy. 1 John 1:3 tells us that when we become a Christian, we enter into a fellowship with God and as well as with other believers. Hence just like the Early Jerusalem church, every Christian should make time to attend a local church on a regular basis to be refreshed and challenged by the Word of God and also to minister to others through various acts of service.
Q: Why should I attend a cell group meeting?
A cell group meeting is an extension of a local church albeit in a small home fellowship setting. A weekend church service is a large scale church celebration. A small group setting is conducive for knowing people intimately and sharing our prayer requests & testimonies as well as study the word of God in a more interactive manner. We can learn to relate to other people and participate by helping out in various tasks. The Early Church in Jerusalem participated actively in small group gatherings as evident in Acts 2:46.
